Zeiss LSM800 Confocal

The Zeiss LSM800 point scanning confocal microscope tailors to a broad range of applications in the research environment and is equipped with an Airyscan module that delivers 1.7 times higher resolution than conventional confocal microscopes. The microscope has 4 laser lines (405, 488, 561 and 633nm) for excitation of conventional fluorophores and genetically encodable fluorescent proteins.  High scan speeds and two sensitive detectors allow for fast image acquisition. The low dark noise levels of the detectors make them ideal tool for detecting faint cellular signals. The gain in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) allows fast image acquisition while preserving high image quality. The microscope is equipped with the 10X (0.3 NA), 20X (0.8 NA), 40X (1.4 NA) and 63X (1.4 NA) objectives for image acquisition. 

IN Cell Analyzer 6000

The IN Cell Analyzer 6000 is the industry standard for a laser-based confocal imaging platform for high-content assays and screens.  The platform enables automated high throughput image acquisition for a wide variety of multiwell plate assays.  The system provides a quantitative image-based platform for cell counting, cell viability assays and morphometric analysis.  The  microscope has 4 laser lines (405, 488, 561 and 633nm), a variety of objectives (4X, 10X, 20X and 40X) and a sCMOS camera for acquiring large fields of view.  A liquid dispenser and heating platform allows dispensing of compounds to the multiwell plate while acquiring images at physiological temperatures in live cells. The high content analysis software offers powerful analytics with a simple and intuitive interface using images acquired on the IN Cell Analyzer system.

Olympus BX63 Epifluorescence/Histology Microscope  

The Olympus BX63 is a fully automated upright epifluorescence microscope with CellSens, the operating software. With a motorized Z-drive, it is capable of widefield Z-stack imaging and deconvolution processing with the built-in program. Available filter sets are DAPI, GFP, mCherry, Cy5 and brightfield. The system is equipped with two CCD cameras. The monochrome camera, XM10 is suitable for fluorescence imaging and provides 12 bit depth, high signal to noise detection with 1.4 megapixel resolution. The color camera, DP25 is great for histology-stained specimens and provides high quality true color images with 2.8 megapixel resolution. Objectives include 10x/0.3, 20x/0.5 and 100x /1.4 oil. 

Leica DM5000 B Epifluorescence/Histology Microscope

Leica DM5000B is an automated upright microscope equipped with a high-performance DFC 500 CCD camera (up to 12megapixel resolution). The system is suitable for screening/documenting for fixed fluorescence/histology specimens. The filter turret includes DAPI, CFP, GFP, YFP, RFP and a double filter GFP/RFP for observing both green and red fluorescent signals at the same time. Phase Contrast and DIC (Differential Interference Contrast) are also available for brightfield microscopy. The microscope comes with a wide range of objective lenses (1.25x/0.04, 5x/0.15, 10x/0.4, 20x/0.7, 40x/0.75 and 100x/1.40 oil) that will help from small observations to wide observations for your specimen size. The fluorescence illumination is Leica’s long lasting EL6000 (a metal halide bulb) and the operation software is Leica Application Suite (LAS) running on Windows XP.
