Title: “The meningeal lymphatics system during neurodevelopment”
Abstract: The meningeal lymphatic system has recently emerged as a central player in the regulation of normal brain function, and appears to be dysfunctional in the majority of neurological disorders. The biology regulating the development and function of the meningeal lymphatic vasculature remains however, unknown. The unique developmental window of the meningeal lymphatic vasculature also suggests potential, yet unexplored, role of the meningeal lymphatic in brain maturation. Here, I will present data from two different projects demonstrating the involvement of the meningeal lymphatic vasculature in autism spectrum disorders and new cell extrinsic and cell intrinsic regulators of meningeal lymphatic function.
