Leica DM5000B picture Leica webLeica DM5000B is an automated upright microscope equipped with a high-performance DFC 500 CCD camera (up to 12megapixel resolution). The system is suitable for screening/documenting for fixed fluorescence/histology specimens. The filter turret includes DAPI, CFP, GFP, YFP, RFP and a double filter GFP/RFP for observing both green and red fluorescent signals at the same time. Phase Contrast and DIC (Differential Interference Contrast) are also available for brightfield microscopy. The microscope comes with a wide range of objective lenses (1.25x/0.04, 5x/0.15, 10x/0.4, 20x/0.7, 40x/0.75 and 100x/1.40 oil) that will help from small observations to wide observations for your specimen size. The fluorescence illumination is Leica’s long lasting EL6000 (a metal halide bulb) and the operation software is Leica Application Suite (LAS) running on Windows XP.
